Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the minutes of September 4, 2007 meeting be accepted as presented.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the account voucher 2007-9 in the amount of $ 76,546.53 and the cemetery voucher in the amount of $701.02 be accepted and paid as presented.

WHEREAS the municipality needs to provide the best service possible;
AND WHEREAS grading services were reviewed and a quote was given to LaFarge for the purchase of their second hand grader in the amount of $21,000 plus GST;
AND WHEREAS Council has been given notice that the quote was successful;
AND WHEREAS The Township of Gordon & Allan West have provided public notice at this Council meeting and no issues have been put forward;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approves the purchase of the grader and possession will take place October 31, 2007.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council supports the municipality of Burpee/Mills in their efforts to ask the Province for a 75% rebate for farm and managed forest tax class.

WHEREAS the Building Systems Committee has met and reviewed Building Permit fees;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT by-Lay No. 2007-22 being a By-law to set permit fees be revised as per the committee recommendation and accepted as presented.
