BE IT RESOLVED THAT the minutes of February 6,2007 council meeting be adopted a presented.

WHEREAS tenders for a half ton have been received from McQuarrie Motors in the amount of $20,000 plus taxes for a new half ton and Dad’s Sales & Service for $18,000 plus taxes for a two year old truck;
AND WHEREAS the half ton from Dad’s Sales & Service does not meet the tender requirements;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the tender from McQuarrie Motors be accepted.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council authorizes the Clerk to send a letter to grant Pat Best authorization for access to the Registry Office records for historical purposes free of charge.

WHEREAS THE “Saving the Region of Ontario Northern Group” have asked for support for their resolution petitioning the legislative assembly with regards to the failure of the government to protect the interests of communities in Northern Ontario by allowing companies to shut down mills and redirect wood supplies outside of the local region;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Township of Gordon supports the STRONG groups resolution.
